Our Pastor Apostle Samuel R. Peters Sr.
Diocesan Bishop over the Virginia Eastern Evangelical Diocese of the
Church of Our Lord Jesus Christ of the Apostolic Faith, Incorporated
Our beloved pastor, Apostle Samuel R. Peters, Sr. of Greater Refuge Church Ministries in Richmond, VA accepted the call to the ministry during his tenure as a junior high school student in 1965. After graduation from high school, he went on to continue his ministerial studies under the late Apostle John Pernell of the Church of Our Lord Jesus Christ. When Apostle Peters was born of the water and of the spirit, his life began to unfold as God had a master plan in mind.
He married Celestine Martin, who still joins him in nurturing three children and several grandchildren. His ministerial training transcended Richmond, VA and landed him in the Church of Christ Bible Institute in New York. More importantly, he has guided God's people in the pastorate for some 32 years and is still expanding the Kingdom of God through the vision that God has given him.
Today, Apostle Peters enjoys extensive travel throughout the USA and abroad as he seeks to promote the Gospel of Jesus Christ to all nations, cultures, and people. He believes that God is calling for a church that will "bless the Lord at all times" and "keep His praises continually in their mouths."
