I Chronicles 15:16
And David spake to the chief of the Levites to appoint their brethren to be the singers with instruments of musick, psalteries and harps and cymbals, sounding, by lifting up the voice with joy.

And the priests waited on their offices: the Levites also with instruments of musick of the LORD, which David the king had made to praise the LORD, because his mercy endureth for ever, when David praised by their ministry; and the priests sounded trumpets before them, and all Israel stood.
Our Mission
God has anointed our Music Ministry to be one of the largest ministries at Greater Refuge Church. Our calling is to be a holistic ministry, winning souls for our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, reaching all walks of life. Our job is to minister to the Lord so that He can complete the ulitmate work, ministering unto His people for we know that He inhabits the praises of His people; so where there is praise you will also find Jesus standing in the midst.
Our Ministry
The Music Ministry has developed into a ministry that combines traditional and contemporary praise under the leadership of our Pastor, Bishop Samuel R. Peters Sr. and our Minister of Music, Michael Jordan. It consists of the Mass Choir (combination of all choirs), the Inspirational Choir (GRC Seniors), God's Purpose Choir (GRC Youth and Young Adults), The Youth, Women, Adult Praise Teams, Children's Choir, and the Men's Choir.
The Music Ministry at Greater Refuge Church has Ten Commandments that one must adhere to in order to become an effective member:

Be a faithful member to the choir.

Possess a humble and teachable spirit.

Express a commitment to rehearsals, prayer and fasting.

Be prepared, practiced and confident.

Be a worshipper.

Be faithful with tithes and offerings.

Have a calling on your heart.

Be a team player.

Ability to express outwardly what God has done inwardly.

Desire to be involved as consecrated singers and/or musicians.
